End of session skills review
1. Independent Submerging and Surface Dives
Why: Breath control, buoyancy, balance and movement.
Goal: Student must jump or step off the dock, swim to the bottom of the pool and pick up at least one object. Resurface and return to the dock independently.
2. Swimming with Roll Overs
Why: Breath control, buoyancy, balance and safety.
Goal: Swim independently across the pool using rollover for a rest when needed.
3. Swimming with Pop Ups
Why: Breath control, buoyancy, balance and safety.
Goal: Swim independently across the pool popping up for air when needed.
4. Elementary Backstroke
Why: Buoyancy, balance, movement and safety.
Goal: Swim independently across the pool with the proper elementary backstroke arms, legs, body position and timing.
5. Introduction to Freestyle
Why: Breath control, buoyancy, balance and movement.
Goal: Swim independently across the pool with the proper arms and legs (any breathing is acceptable).
6. Introduction to Breaststroke
Why: Breath control, buoyancy, balance and movement.
Goal: Swim independently across the pool with the proper arms and legs (any breathing is acceptable).
7. Jump, Swim and Climb
Why: Safety
How: Jump in to the pool from the edge, swim across and climb out (independently).
Goodbye: Always finish class with a smile and high five! Allow students to climb out of the pool first, then exit behind them. Issue them each a coin and safely escort them to the door.

Dock Arrangements
